Ladies Society Meetings Preview in Local Churches
Mrs. Lester Gordon will host the Anna Gordon W. C. T. A. at East Ninth Street this afternoon at 2 30. The Presbyterian Aid Society has a parlor gathering in the church this Friday afternoon with Mrs. C. T. Hopkins and Mrs. G. L. Spring as hostesses. The Congregational Missionary Society meets in the church parlors Friday for mission study music and business. Dairyman Faces Pure Food Charge and Jury Duty
Cheyenne dairyman W. Dittman was summoned to answer charges of brutal pure food violations. Prosecutors allege he fed a dead horse carcass to swine and improperly handled milk and waste. He has been impaneled for the June district court term but likely will be excused from jury service.

Notice to water users on Horse Creek and tributaries
A state investigation into abandoned water rights on Horse Creek and its tributaries leads to a hearing by the Board of Control. The survey by the State Engineer starts July 2, 1917, in Water Division No. 1, to map ditches and diversions and determine abandonment and readjustment of rights, with a hearing set for November 26, 1917, at 9 a.m. in Cheyenne.

Paul Hanson a famed Cheyenne broncho buster and Frontier Days roper wed Mim Ethel Taylor of Chicago at the Meth Episcopal parsonage on Monday afternoon. Judge E Brace officiated. The couple will live at 51 West Sixteenth Street. Hanson is well known in Cheyenne and area for frontier sports participation and tours with McCarty and Guilford.
