Miss Anne G Mellagh and Roy B Laughlin become engaged with a June 10 1919 wedding planned. The event honored by Miss Lucille and Miss Marjorie McHugh featured a flower bedecked bower and little bridesmaid baskets for sixteen guests.
Local society items list numerous visitors and departures from Cheyenne. Families including Clark, Gem, and Miller guests travel to Denver and Fort Riley, with many hosts hosting gatherings at Congregational and St. Mark's churches and the community center.

Twenty seven thousand American expeditionary forces landed in New York today from eight transports bringing troops from France. This marks the largest single-day embarkation at the port with representation from virtually all states. The contingent includes parts of the 28th 29th 34th 33rd 78th Bend and 84th divisions, with the first five formed from former state national guard units and the latter four from draft troops.
The War Mothers of America postpone their regular Friday gathering to Wednesday May 28 at 3 PM. The venue remains the Carnegie Library in the city. All War Mothers are urged to attend as Decor ation Day causes the change.
John Mihan a former Cheyenne resident died yesterday at Mitchell Nebraska from a complication of diseases. The body will be brought to Cheyenne Saturday morning for funeral services at St. Marys Cathedral. Father Hartman will supervise the rites. The service is set for 0 o'clock.
