Brutal assault leaves elderly woman badly injured

Mrs. Anthony Rosenthyne, 76, of 1106 Eddy Street, was found severely beaten and robbed of 16.80 in her home yesterday. Doctors administered over 300 stitches to her scalp amid a grim scene with blood, hair, and damaged rooms as police investigate.

The Vaderland, the new largest liner in service, broke from tugs and drifted down the Hudson amid strong tides.
