Meet Death at UP Yards Aboard Freight Car

At Union Pacific yards a pair of men were killed after being struck by wheels as they worked to stop a freight car. Alonzo Ashby from Popular Bluff Missouri and William F P Van Vilder, a Cavalier, live in the area and were workers at the yard. The accident occurred around 1 o'clock tonight. a coroner adjourned without a verdict.

Birdman Saved Through a Miracle by Eddie Rickenbach

May 18 in France, Lieut. Eddie Rickenbach, famed as a volunteer flyer, escaped death when a German pilot crashed into his aircraft during a duel.
