The body of a baby boy, child of Mr. and Mrs. Button, drowned in Bear Creek Friday noon, was found today by foreman Fred Lawcon of the Armstrong-Williams ranch. It lay in a pool in a meadow along the creek and showed bruising.

Wyoming Man Appointed National Bank Examiner

Harry R. Weston of Cody becomes the first Wyoming native named national bank examiner for the Wyoming Utah district. Weston succeeds W. J. Beattie of Salt Lake City who resigned to run the First National bank of Ogden. Beattie is said to be a Mormon allied with the Smoot organization. Weston, about 35, formerly Cody bank cashier, may base headquarters in Cheyenne to cover the district.

Wool Men Are Called to Conference by Sec Houston

Washington May 13 Secretary Houston of the Department of Agriculture announced a conference on June 2 4 to place the sheep and wool industry on a stable basis. Topics include the value of American wools improving handling methods standardization of the wool clip and control of predation by dogs and predators. The department notes American wool quality is high but often undervalued and predation damages may exceed 10 percent in some regions.

Plucky Wife Races 307 Miles to See Dying Husband

Mrs. A. B. Crosser of Denver and her son drove 307 miles from Denver to Rawlins in 15 hours to reach her husband, severely injured in a Red Desert crash. The journey included night driving and pauses in Cheyenne and Laramie. Crosser died at Rawlins hospital after she arrived.

Will Ask That Ammons Resign

Denver May 15 The Colorado state senate devoted the afternoon to a discussion of a million dollar bond issue for the state militia. Senator Nobleson said he would vote for the measure because the governor requested it but doubted his ability to manage the fund. Tomorrow a resolution to demand the governor's resignation was to be introduced. Hes supported an amendment while denouncing coal operators. Action on the bond issue was postponed to tomorrow.

State land offered in carefully sized tracts for farmers

The state land board plans to sell land the week of June 7 in 125 tracts totaling 3 760 acres. Tracts range from irregular sizes to 19 of 240 acres 48 of 320 acres and four of 430 acres with 37 quarter sections and three full sections to maximize usable farm land for buyers.
