Grain prices rose with corn showing gains as rain and cash demand supported futures. The curb market was uneven with heavy selling in past sessions halting upward moves, while oils saw renewed focus on oil stocks and a volatile mix of railroad and industrial shares. Hot Water Flow Struck at Thermopolis by Oil Men
Thermopolis Wyoming May 12 A new hot water well 400 feet north of the Garrett place flowed an estimated 2700 to 2500 gallons per minute to the surface. The water level stood at about 200 feet below the surface and management plans aim to control flow while pursuing oil prospects. The Northwestern syndicate west of town, backed by the New York Oil Company, announced plans to operate soon and push development in the coming season. The Non-Partisan League calls for substituting patriotism for Americanism in governance. Sheep shearers earn about 15 cents per head with many earning 12 per chivy.
