May 13. It became known that a leading Mount Wilson scientist will move the Wig telescope from the Los Angeles observatory to Green River Wyoming over 2000 miles to attempt a 98 second solution to the mystery of the sun's corona.

U S Court Opens Session in Cheyenne Morning

The federal court opened at the Cheyenne federal building this morning with the grand jury entering session to consider indictments. Among cases is William Shamke of Sheridan arrested six months ago on a sedition charge. He was brought to Cheyenne today by Deputy U S Marshal Seavey.

Washington May 13 conferees agree on draft terms for all men who have turned 21 by June and later. The dispute centers on applying the bill to medical and divinity students enrolled before and after the cutoff.

German torpedo nearly hits steamer and convoy

A German torpedo fired from a submarine narrowly missed the steamer carrying the American labor mission and struck a naval vessel acting as a convoy. The vessel sustained heavy damage, and the attack was reported via a letter received by Mr. Simmons from Henry Hyndman who witnessed the scene.

Independent socialist Vogbreich responded that after 15 months of unrestricted submarine warfare there is still no peace and the policy has failed to force victory.

Three Americans Stage Private War in Lorraine Stronghold

Three American soldiers in the Lorraine sector reportedly attacked a German trench without orders. They killed an officer and five soldiers, seized papers, and withdrew under heavy fire, then organized another assault as German troops reinforced. Nebraska farmer Frank Lowenstein pressed charges against Avastin Bates a clairvoyant for taking 2200 dollars with promises of locating hidden treasure on a farm.
