A National Association for the Advancement of Colored People report states 3,224 people were killed by mobs in the past thirty years. From 1989 to 1918 the South led with 2,844 victims, North 219, West 166, Alaska and others 15. Texas ranks third with 335. Mother Drowns Three Babies In Well At Kansas Farm

CLATHE Kan May 2 Despondent and likely mentally deranged from mental illness Mrs Leonard Vance 27 wife of a wealthy farmer near here drowned three of her children in a farm well at Toyre today and was rescued by her husband after she jumped into the well. The fourth child six months old was carried aloft to prevent drowning.
