Charles Morley, a convict who surrendered in LinebIn Nebraska, recounts an escape chase in which a posse shot and killed Blunt, a hostage, and Taylor. Morley says Dowd killed himself after failure to escape, and guards saved his life as they cut wires and moved toward rural hiding spots.
Four masked bandits held up a northbound Mobile and Ohio passenger train south of Corinth Massachusetts tonight. They blew open the express safe, gagged the messenger, and escaped into dense undergrowth. Bloodhounds are being used and a posse formed to pursue. The amount taken is not disclosed.
Hilleville Virginia March 19 messengers say Caroll County court assassins are five miles from Floyd Allen's home. Posse deploys all available men to surround the Allen gang before dawn. Jack Allen says his brothers likely acted in self defense and will fight to the last ditch.
Roosevelt issues a statement praising Taft for favoring a presidential primary. He says if Taft’s campaign backers support him he can push a presidential preferential primary in Michigan Illinois Maryland the District of Columbia and New York.

Fargo March 11 Chairman Talcott of the Republican state committee and John F Base of Chicago telegraphed Senator Dixon that La Follette carried North Dakota in the presidential primary as returns from eighteen of forty nine counties showed a plurality for him. Roosevelt men concede ten of these to La Follette.
