Brother of four dies by self infliction in home tragedy

Thomas F. Brooks, 24, machinist at the U P round house, shot himself at 911 East Lincoln Way shortly after 11 yesterday morning. His sister found him in his room at noon, a brief note left. The weapon was a .28 revolver. death was instantaneous. The Brooks family has endured multiple violent deaths, with two brothers and sisters killed in separate accidents and a gasoline fire. He is survived by a sister in Sterling, Colorado, a sister in Lawrence, and brothers Chauncey and John. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Snowbank By Playmate Dies In Crevice Tragedy

In Baratoga Wyoming on March 7 ten year old Will Coddington fell into a deep crevice in a frozen snow bank and could not escape. Abandoned by a girl playmate he remained in the crevice for hours and died soon after rescue. The friend did not realize the danger.
