Pullen Wins Grand Prix as One Fatal Crash Shocks Santa Monica

Pullen won the fifth International Grand Prix over 403 miles at Santa Monica in a new speed record of 77.7 mph. An American car took first for the first time as J B Marquis died in a crash that also crushed him after his car overturned on a curve. Only four finishers of 17 starters.
