London reports that British authorities bar Americans arriving without passports from disembarking until they obtain special permission from the home office after prior efforts with Ambassador Page and the state department to secure travel papers.
Gen Victoriano Huerta and Gen Pascual Orozco were arrested at Fort Bliss on charges of violating U S neutrality as part of a government effort to curb revolutionary moves from Mexico. Bail set at 15000 and 7400 dollars respectively. they were released and later moved to private residences.
An American magazine cites J Herbert Duckworth saying Britain’s war force now exceeds four million, far above prior estimates of one to two million. Duckworth notes wartime mobilization under Secretary Lord Kitchener accelerated by mass conscription and volunteer enlistment.
Wyoming hogs sold at top prices in Nebraska as W Y rancher W J Barker delivered 110 head averaging 213 pounds to the Omaha market. Two hundred American families face peril in the Pamueo district southwest of Tampico as boats on the Pamueo River are fired upon and rail access west of the district is blocked. The list of stranded Americans was turned over to the El Paso Chamber of Commerce, naming families led by Peter Wilson, Duff and Son, King Acker, and John Grover among others, with Jorge Ogden held prisoner by Carranzistas at San Jose de Tinto.
Weld County commissioners announce enforcement of a new water waste law to stop flooding of public roads by irrigation ditches. Offenders may be arrested fined or imprisoned after July 13 with strict enforcement planned. damages previously collected were rare due to court delays.

London dispatch reports the German submarine sank the British steamer Indrani near Tuskar Ireland and the Barrow schooner Dith off Youghal Ireland. The Indrani crew were saved and the Dith crew rescued. An official Vienna release says a German submarine torpedoed and sank an Italian torpedo boat in the northern Adriatic on Saturday.
