Count Zeppelin's passenger airship Deutschland broke propeller during a flight with newspaper men. A tornado lofted it to about four thousand feet before crashing into Tutoburgian forest. Passengers escaped uninjured, but the craft valued at $137,000 was destroyed.
The International Asbestos Company completes its first Casper mill in Wyoming. The $50,000 plant, a major step for the Casper asbestos field, will soon be tested as A B Mirium of Denver and Leslie Parker of Thetford Canada prepare to witness the formal acceptance by company agents.
In Galt Lake City Utah on June 28 authorities report fourteen suspects under arrest in Ogden and Vietnity. They believe none of these arrestees belong to the gang that robbed Oregon Short Line train No 1 between Ogden and Harrigburg yesterday. The bandits are thought to hide in caves of Little Mountain near the Great Salt stores about a few miles off. A large posse rushed to the scene this morning.
Lieut W E B Persons led a detachment from Fort Russell to Pole Mountain to set up camp for the Eleventh infantry. The regiment will march 200 miles to the maneuver camp arriving July 14 for July and August evolutions. Fort Russell artillery has departed and Ninth cavalry will follow. two Ninth cavalry troops and one Eleventh infantry company remain to guard the post. Captain Carnahan will command during maneuvers. Cheyenne expects a hearty welcome on their return.
Brig Gen Ralph Hoyt will review the Fort Russell garrison at 8 20 tomorrow morning weather permitting on the parade ground at the east end of the fort. Cheyenne citizens may witness this notable ceremony and are encouraged to attend.
Ibrahim Wardani a Nationalist student was hanged in Cairo for assassinating Premier Boutros Pasha. The execution drew fears of protests but was tightly policed. Wardani proclaimed himself a martyr dying for Egyptian liberty as crowds watched and troops patrolled. Roosevelt had denounced the crime earlier.
American Consul Moffatt in Bluefields telegraphed Washington that a petition bearing 500 signatures asked General Estrada for United States intervention.
Cheyenne becomes a captive city as Denver motorists arrive for the Reliability Run. The field departs at 8:30 this morning for the 700 mile leg to Denver via Fort Collins. Officials include Wiger Barnett Sommers Patridge and Smith, with Driver Harry Ball in a 90 horsepower Apperson.
Reno dispatch reports Governor Dickerson will not interfere as Jeffries refuses training work while Johnson camps in. Fans wager heavy sums on the bout with odds near 2 to 1. Jeffries tours roads for miles as trainers insist Johnson shows no loss of speed.

Vasili Ivankowski known as Bill Kovansky, one of three bandits who attempted a Lynn hold up, has been jailed in Salem after the murder indictment of Lendregan and Po teemen Carrol. A Russian letter found in his cell pleads for his mother's forgiveness as he faces likely execution. Andy Alison remains hospitalized in Lynn, with prognosis uncertain.
Saida Inamoto a Japanese and Miss Mable Hawkins a white girl of Eaton Colorado married in Cheyenne after a town spree over alleged advances toward Hawkins. Inamoto pleaded guilty to assault and battery for a knife incident with Lopez, who later faced charges. Hawkins then accused Lopez of assaulting her before the wedding. The bride’s father consented to the Cheyenne ceremony. Eaton awaits court action on the charges today.
Omaha Nebraska June 28 Last nights statement from San Francisco that EB Lomax for the last two years general passenger agent of the Union Pacific railway had arranged to leave that service to become passenger and traffic manager of the Western Pacific with offices at San Francisco was verified today by a telegram from Mr Lomax now in San Francisco to his office here There is no intimation of who his successor will be.
