Hamburg notes the German emperor resumes with Herr Gilbert Ballin as director general. Cheyenne public notice announces the 1910 assessment roll completed and equalization hearings set July 6 1910 at 9 a m in City Hall. Property owners may file objections with the city assessor.
The Hamburg American Steamship Line explains to the emperor its plan for a new steamer described as the largest in the world. It will measure about 876 feet long with a breadth of 85.5 feet, feature upper deck extensions, and reach a speed of 22 knots, boasting double the tonnage of the Kaiser Wilhelm II. The emperor awarded Hey Ballin a bronze bust of himself.
London reports a coroner's inquiry into the death of Lyndon Jr. Stevens of Greenwich Connecticut found dead in a London Grand Hotel bed. Poisoning was suspected but autopsy did not confirm it, and the inquest was adjourned for stomach analysis. Stevens, a director in several corporations, had been abroad for months and reportedly suffered overwork.
