Welcome Home Soldier Boys Arrive for Cheyenne Parade

Wyoming 148th Meld artillery, known as Wyomings Own, will land in Cheyenne tonight and travel by motor to Fort Russell then Cheyenne for a 10 30 parade. Governor Cogrey will speak at the Capitol, and the day will close with a march to the Parish House and a community dinner. Schools close for the celebration and businesses declare a holiday. Local residents urged to line Capitol avenue and Central avenue to welcome the veterans.

Kinney Oil Company Holds Wyoming Meeting

Kinney Oil Company, the largest Wyoming based petroleum firm, held a meeting here yesterday attended by president J C Kinney and directors G G Orchard and Guy Craig who traveled from Denver. Leslie Miller secretary came from Casper to attend. Consulting geologist W L Walker was present. Kinney departed for Oakville after the meeting.

Eamonn De Valera the president of the Irish republic arrives at the Waldorf Astoria in New York at 5 30 PM to speak for the Irish nation. He comes from Boston after renouncing his American citizenship and is escorted by Carmelite officials and a crowd of flag bearing supporters. The party includes Justice Hendricks Justice Gavegan editor John Devol Sinn Fein staffer Shamus O Sheel and other notable figures.

Army ordnance exhibit to arrive in Cheyenne Thursday

An education exhibit led by Lt. Charles H W Andrus arrives in Cheyenne next Thursday June 26 and features three carloads of tanks cannons and tractors. The display will parade through the city with plans to demonstrate power by knocking down old buildings nearby to promote enlistment interest.

Tornado Sweeps Minnesota Resort Town Killing Dozens

A violent tornado struck a Minnesota resort city Sunday night, tearing through Lake Alice and One Mile Lake areas. Adjutant General W. F. Ahinow estimated about 60 deaths with more than 450 injured.
