Daniels agrees to big increase of naval program

Washington June 23 The senate waves subcommittee in conference with Secretary Daniels and Rear Admirals Taylor and Blue agreed to a building program for four dreadnaughts and four battle cruisers for the coming year. It also recommended an increase of about 700 enlisted men to 74 700. The authorization of capital ships is understood to be acceptable to President Wilson.

Sailor M. Laughter Dies After Battle at Mazatlan
