Denver papers misreported the death of Archbishop J J Keane of Dubuque as Cheyenne’s former bishop. The Cheyenne bishopric clarified no local bishop died this year, noting a retired archbishop with the same name led to the confusion.

Lieutenant Alfred W. Elleroth of the U S Army reached Petrograd amid Finland Red and White guard hostilities to wed Miss Barbara Alexandra Leslie in a Petrograd church on February 20. Elleroth, from Wisconsin, joined the embassy staff at Vologda after the ceremony.

Gary Indiana June 12 Known death list in the collision between an empty circus train and a Wallace Hagenbeck circus train rose to four with eight more bodies found and one circus performer died in a Gary hospital. One hundred seventy eight in hospitals. twenty nine bodies in morgues. Rescue work continues as fire and debris clearances go on at Gary and Hammond.
Kalamazoo Mich June 12 Scott Alonzo Sargent the engineer of the Hagenbeck train that crashed into the Wallace Wallace Hagenbeck train was arrested here tonight on an order from Gary charging him with manslaughter in the Hammond Ind incident.
