Subscriptions to Liberty Loan Hit 3.055 Billion Total

Final tabulation shows Liberty loan subscriptions reached 3.055 billion dollars with over 4 million buyers. New York district led with 1.187 billion, Chicago 457 million, and other districts cited including Boston, Cleveland, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and more. Allotments varied by amount, with bands from under 19 000 up to over 10 000, and two large subscriptions noted at 2 million and 5 million each.

Liquor Dealers Lead Cheyenne Red Cross Drive

Cheyenne liquor dealers expect to far exceed the 918 000 Red Cross quota with 19 540 65 on hand and pledges from many individuals and firms. A special committee collects from wholesale and retail outlets while Cheyenne women organize a Saturday Monday drive for 100 women to give 5 each. Subscriptions must be in by Monday evening and the Industrial club dinner is postponed to avoid conflicts with the drive.
