Chicago dispatch reports a second Roosevelt defeat at the Republican national convention with Gov Hadley of Missouri leading opposition to seating Roosevelt delegates. The scene included a lengthy demonstration for Hadley and speculation he may become a presidential contender as Taft’s renomination appears likely.
Roosevelt delegates walk out in Chicago as roosevelt supporters clash over access to credentials evidence. The group attempts to force open doors and press for inclusion of Roosevelt contestants, with police called as tensions flare and hotel rooms become staging points.

Ten year old Reta Emer of Carpenter and two other Carpenter children were bitten by a suspected mad collie. The dog was killed and its head sent to Cheyenne for brain analysis for hydrophobia while the girl received treatment. Dr Fell and Dr Eakin are mentioned in connection with the case.
Tuesday night a burglar entered the Breisch residence at Seventeenth and Russell streets, ransacked rooms, and stole money and clothing. The Union Pacific agent Mr Breineh’s dwelling was also entered and looted. Police say no suspects yet identified and the dragnet continues.
New York June 18 William T Wintemute of Summit New Jersey promoter of the Gold Run Mining and Titane company of Colorado was found guilty in the United States district court today of mailing to defraud He was sentenced to pay a fine of 500 and serve one year in prison Fayette B Biffany a lawyer indictment was found not guilty It is believed he obtained about 1500000 from seven persons in Bogland.
Chicago June 19. In a late speech James Watson Taft floor leader noted Hadley’s potential position on contest settlements. Delegates urged Hadley to the platform triggering a long, boisterous demonstration by Warlets and many state delegations. California unfurled Roosevelt banners as cheers rose and a young woman cried out for Teddy.
A dynamiting party, mainly American in origin and hired by the Mexican government, works between Chihuahua and Juarez to destroy key rail trestles on the Mexican Central. The aim is to disrupt rail and telegraph links, starving the rebel areas of supplies, unless scouts can prevent the action. El Paso reports Mrs. Pascual Orozco, wife of the rebel leader, departed with her children for Los Angeles after depositing 200000 in local banks.
June 19 Baltimore reports that Judge Parker of New York is named temporary chairman of the Democratic national convention. Arrangements committees will appoint temporary officers tomorrow. Friends of William J. Bryan reportedly oppose Parker and a different choice may be made.
Taft leaders privately admit Roosevelt may bolt the convention if credentials drift from the national committee. Roosevelt plans an independent nomination if needed, while the Taft camp pushes to purge contested delegates and force a legal convention structure. The Chicago Coliseum buzzes with factional dispute over roll calls and seating.
