British Capture 175 Prisoners in Two Minute Battle
British forces seized three quarters of four miles of trenches on Infantry hill east of Monchy le Prevy in a two minute raid. At 7:25 to 7:27 rockets marked the breakthrough as troops advanced across No Man’s Land in broad daylight and surprised the German garrison at break out. Three officers and 175 men were captured without resistance.
