Miss Esther Ross of Prescott Arizona chosen by Governor Hunt to sponsor the battleship Arizona in a ceremony at the New York Navy Yard. The ship, built at the government yard, costs about 16 million when commissioned with guns armor and hull. Wind Storm Kills Thirteen in Wisconsin Towns

A week end wind storm swept through central and western Wisconsin injuring many and causing widespread damage. Elven known dead and 22 severely hurt with hundreds of buildings ruined as telegraph and telephone lines were toppled. Steamer Vanadis Smashes Yacht in Fog. Two Die

In thick fog off Batons Neck Huntington Bay the steamship Vanadis rammed the passenger steamer Bunker Hill. Two men aboard the yacht were killed including John J. Brown who died after being picked from the water with both legs broken. Kendricks died at dinner in the Bunker Hill dining room.
