Patriotism Sets Tone At Scottish Rite Reunion

A large Scottish Rite reunion featured the 21st Noachite degree in full form led by Fred G. Forbes with helpers. Degrees 22 through 28 followed. closing banquet honors were given to the flag and nation. Officers named included Thomas Coolman as president and Marshfield Steele as secretary with a class orator to speak later. Tonight a reception and dance conclude the event at the Temple.

U Boat Sinks Norwegian Vessels Off Virginia Shores

Reports from New York and Atlantic coastal ports describe German U boat activity abroad, sinking two Norwegian steamers Vindeggen and Henrik Lund about 200 miles east of Cape Charles Virginia.
