BIRNMAN BLASTS ZEPPELIN IN SKY BATTLE OVER EUROPE

Reginald Warneford, a Canadian-British lieutenant, destroyed the airship Zeppelin over Ghent Bruges after a sixbomb volley. Five killed forty wounded and two fires followed the crash into a convent at Monte Saint Amand as the crew perished and the plane nearly fell. Warneford regained control just 200 feet from the ground.

Lincoln Highway President Tours Test Trip Under Muddy Roads

Henry B. Joy head of the Lincoln Memorial Highway Association and Packard president arrives in Cheyenne with E F Bement and B Eisenhut to test the Lincoln Highway route from Big Springs Nebraska through Sidney. Russian craft sink German transports with invading troops

London reports three German transports, a Russian Amur cruiser, a naval auxiliary, a British bark and steamer, and a French minelayer sunk in the Baltic as Russians repel an attempted landing near Courland. Ford Motor Co Plans Massive Capital Increase

Detroit June 7 The Ford Motor Company directors approve raising capital from 2 million to 100 million dollars. A 48,000,900 dollar stock dividend will be paid in July to eight shareholders, while 50 million dollars of preferred stock is reserved for future development and dividends. A large cash dividend is also declared though amount is not specified. James Couzens serves as vice president and treasurer. The 10th cash distribution stood at 10 million dollars.

Mexicans thwarted in dynamite export attempt

In El Paso Texas on June 1 customs officials confiscated two crates of dynamite intended for transport into the United States. Twenty cases were found on two Mexicans who tried to carry them across the river and 32 cases were later located in a deserted house.

Mise Villa Moore daughter of Lee Moore a Diamond Wyoming rancher and former Platte County official rode forty miles to seek aid after a dislocated hip from a bronco kick. Despite bad weather she pursued treatment and remained in good humor awaiting a doctor at Cheyenne Plains.

Air Raid on English Coast and Mixed Fronts

German Zeppelins bombed the east coast of England injuring forty and killing five as fires broke out and rail depots were hit. Bombs also struck the Humber fortifications while Harwich was described as covered with combat. Other theaters report Italian and Austro German advances with heavy fighting near Gradisca, Lemberg, and along the Gallipoli peninsula.

Lander Wool Crowned Best by Trade in Wyoming

June 7. John J. Holliday president of the National Wool Warehouse company, says Lander district wool is the best by Wyoming trade. Long pod medium wools sold 24 to 28 cents, averaging about 26 1/2 cents. Coarser grades fetch 18 to 24 cents, averaging around 21. Short wool has been neglected, with a forecast that waiving the short wools may become possible to meet foreign demand.

Spotted Fever Outbreak Reported in Albany County

In Albany County two Radichal sisters aged 14 and 16 are hospitalized in Grand Argenny with spotted fever or tick fever. Mabel arrived Wednesday with early symptoms and sister Jeannine was brought by their father last night. Dr Hamilton says both are improving despite the seriousness of the disease. the tick bite is the infection source and the outbreak marks the first known cases in the county.

National Woman's Suffrage Association backs Congressional Union

The National Women's Suffrage Association adopted a resolution today in Chicago praising the Congressional Union's actions against the Democratic party after suffrage defeat in Congress. It stated the union harmed no part of the suffrage cause and did not injure non suffrage slaves.
