News from Cheyenne reports a near deadly yacht voyage along the California coast. Attorney J E Dyer of Cheyenne and Brian Dyer of Berkeley joined wealthy San Francisco resident Mr Gale and Rev Mr Fry on a cruise to Sacramento. The vessel ran aground in San Pedro bay during a gale on May 31, and Mr Gale died aboard the boat. The yacht drifted all night before rescue by a shore party.
