Senator Warren urged on Darrow bill aid for maimed soldiers
Edward Hale, chair of the National Legislative Committee for maimed World War veterans, writes in Stars and Stripes that the Darrow Bill would increase monthly training pay from 80 to 100 dollars for single and married students, arguing debt and charity burdens force many to abandon studies. He criticizes Senator Warren for blocking Senate action and for denying veterans an audience, describing the wounded as deserving rehabilitation and fair pay.
