Senator Kendrick will leave Cheyenne at 3 20 this afternoon for Denver then head to Sheridan arriving Thursday. He plans to return to Washington to renew the fight on the Kendrick pitt aimed at curbing the Packers. His Cheyenne visit ends soon.
Allied forces in Archangel region endure harsh winter fighting as Bolshevik forces attack from four directions. American, Russian and British troops retreat in good order toward Shegovarl while repelling assaults near Turcsevo and along the Dvina and Vologda lines.
A Russian government wireless message dated January 23 and 24 reports heavy fighting on the Russian front. Red forces seized several villages near Denkirk and advanced to Padenskaya station south of Fhenhurst, while enemy detachments retreated toward Grestetk with locomotives and thousands of wagons.
W G McAdoo former railroads chief and ex treasury secretary released a telegram urging five year federal control of railroads to develop inland waterways and coordinate with a U S merchant marine. A man calling himself Omega, son of Jesus Christ, armed with two revolvers, shot at crowds in Philadelphia. He killed three men and wounded five before being captured and beaten. Police say he believed his father’s ouster was the motive and found notes and occult items on him. He used the name George Lombu when boarding.
Charles W. Leasura appeared before Judge Howsman on a charge of assault with felonous intent after he allegedly fired three shots at his wife during a family dispute in their city home late Saturday night. He was bound over to the March session with bond set at 1750.

Five people were injured when two street cars were dynamited in Kansas City. Windows shattered and cars damaged amid a strike by street railway workers ongoing since December 11. Authorities say charges were light and aimed at cars, not passengers, with dynamite placed on tracks ahead of trains.
An Associated Press report from Berlin says forces have advanced in Baku and occupied the trans-Caucasian railroad. It also states British troops have occupied Petrovek and Atraghan at the mouth of the Volga.
Sherwood claimed to sell stock in an airplane company and fleeced Mrs. Rutledge near Pine Bluffs. He obtained a large sum with a receipt but delivered no stock, then fled after the son exposed the scheme and Prosecuting Attorney Lane sought a warrant. Police searched Sunday for Sherwood.

Plans before the Senate Military Affairs Committee by General March detail demobilization of 1.8 million troops overseas within six months. The army may keep about ten divisions in occupation, with thirty days to demobilize home camps and expedited return of 300,000 veterans from France as transport capacity allows.
