Bandit Robs Train Near Pueblo in Rifle Duel
A Colorado and Southern southbound passenger train was held up near Pueblo. The thief got 117 dollars and jewelry, then fled. Special Agent McCafferty of the Rio Grande joined the pursuit, and a gun fight ended with the bandit surrendering after a wrist wound. The suspect claimed the name Al Bane from Athol Kansas, a former Santa Fe engineer.
