Carnegie Hero Medals Awarded at 13th Annual Meeting

At Pittsburgh yesterday, the Carnegie Hero Fund commission honored 23 acts of heroism with 8 silver and 15 bronze medals. Eleven rescuers died. seven dependents receive pensions totaling 4,680 yearly, plus additional grants and educational funds amounting to thousands, while ten cases await plan approvals before payments.
