The steamer Verones with 130 passengers aboard wrecked four miles off Vigo Spain. Sixteen passengers were reported drowned after the wreck as the Pollandia could not render aid through the heavy seas. Some survivors swam ashore.

In Paris on June 16 the chamber of deputies and senate vote together in a parliamentary assembly at Versailles to choose the French president. The third ballot shows Premier Poincare with 309 votes and Jules Pam with 313, neither reaching the required threshold.

The town has new Bank building Hervard pharmacy and Worland Mercantile, the alfalfa mill claims to be the largest west of the Missouri, and utilities like Mountain States Telephone and an electric plant are advancing. The State Industrial School will be located there, signaling a rise in regional importance.
Dr. H M Bennett cited a large Kimball reservoir that will irrigate at least 10000 acres of Nebraska land. One thousand acres have been leased to Japanese for sugar beets, shipped to Eaton, Colorado via Cheyenne. Kimball lies 65 miles from Cheyenne and local merchants should pursue the trade potential.

In Chicago on January 16 a judge ruled that a wife, Mira Breeton, may require her husband Thapafier Rimer Remnstein to remain at home and not leave without permission from his wife.
