Mrs Jack London Carries On At Sonora Estate
In California’s Valley of the Moon Mrs. Jack London describes her late husband Jack London’s dream of a self contained worker community on the estate. She details plans for a grand manor, worker cottages, a school, a piggery and a self sustaining farm society. She notes the lofty cost and that royalties continue but no new books are published. She also discusses turning London writings into films and her ongoing biography project.

The Republican State Committee plans to issue a call for a mid February state convention to name New York four delegates at large to the national convention. Elihu Root James W Wadsworth Jr William M Calder and William Boyce Thompson are favored as the four. Uninstructed delegation expected to avoid binding the ticket. Miss Mary Garrett Hay may not be a delegate at large though she may attend. Veteran leaders push for an uninstructed delegation to Chicago next June to avoid deadlock and allow booms or a brokered result.
