Wells in section 4-4 drive December drilling activity
Completion activity and completions during the month show two wells in section 4 4. No. 1 in the northeast corner and No. 2 in the southeast quadrant about 2 1 2 miles from the discovery well in section 6 6 3 65. No. 4 hit sand at 3 585 feet with an output of around 2 500 barrels. royalty interests are held by Royalty and Producers Corp and New York. Midwest Bel Co. is drilling in section 9 3 65 65, with casing set 1 500 feet, awaiting completion. Sands from which production proceeds are linked to Lower Creek or other formations, with operators split on whether it is the Dakota, Muddy, or Wall Creek. Four wells abandoned, several others suspended. 56 rigs active in November, expected to rise in spring as development broadens across the west and southwest parts of the structure. Weather slows progress.
