Salt Creek Oil Fields Promise Big Production in Wyoming

The Salt Creek district north of Casper Wyoming shows potential for high grade paraffin oil. Wells yield 20 to 1200 barrels daily from the Benton formation sandstones with oil grades from 37 to 48 degrees Beaume. The Salt Creek dome Teapot dome and Shannon field areas are described with early development dating from 1889 and rapid growth since 1910.

Ten Year Old Girls Take Jewels In Salt Lake City

Two girls aged ten, Mildred Fretenstine and Lernice Simpson of Pocatello Idaho, took jewelry from a Salt Lake City department store.
