Wyoming Troops Arrive Soon at Newport News Governor Says

Governor Carey received word from Washington that the 116th Wyoming unit including hundreds of Wyoming men and medical troops will reach Newport News Virginia within days. The ship left a French port on February 6 carrying 623 Wyoming men. The governor plans no welcome committee at the port but may arrange a later greeting when feasible. Demobilization timing remains unsettled and reports of additional Wyoming troops arriving this week are deemed likely inaccurate.
