Loads of Coal in New York Shy Weight
Matthew Walsh and James McGrahn truck drivers for Davies Brothers Coal Company were arraigned before Magistrate O'Connor in Yorkville court on charges of violating weights and measures. Two coal trucks delivered yesterday were 2730 pounds short of the amount on company tickets. The case was adjourned to tomorrow to trace the missing coal. Walsh and McGrahn refused to speak and each was held on $500 bail.

Cowboy Held as Girl's Assailant in Pueblo
Albert Kiefer, a cowboy, was arrested by Under Sheriff Warren Hill on accusations of criminal assault against 16 year old Mrs. Geneva Toyle at her mother's home. The assault occurred Tuesday. Toyle remains in dangerous condition. Toyle had worked for Kiefer's mother and previously lived in Denver, Berkley, near the White City. her husband works on a ranch near Pueblo. Kiefer was captured about 35 miles southwest of Pueblo while riding with cattle. He denies the assault.
