Laramie County Debt Settled Amid Court Ruling

In a district court decision Judge Mentzer ruled the total indebtedness of Laramie County at 220000 including bonds and warrants. Platte County must pay 65900 and Goshen 20644 reducing Laramie’s debt to 223456. Warrants issued will bear 6 percent interest and be met by bond sales or a special levy. Laramie county appeals deny of bridge payments claiming 28000. If upheld the net debt could drop to 195458.

General Wood to Be Retired Not Emergency Chief of Staff

Washington Dec 12 Sec Tlary Garrison announced that on April 22 Maj Gen Leonard Wood would become chief of staff of the United States army as his four year detail expires. Garrison said laws would allow extension in war but he would follow the spirit of the law and oppose a premature retirement. Bomb kills 18 year old bookkeeper in New York office
