Cheyenne Residents Safe After Blizzard Search

City Clerk J. J. Showalter Mrs Eugene Beatty and their three year old son Charles Lee Beatty were found at the Applegate farm ten miles east of Carr after vanishing in a large blizzard en route from Cheyenne to Denver. Search efforts by vehicles from Cheyenne and Colorado ended with the refuge found and friends informed.

Wage Settlement Predicted by UMW Officials Ahead of Strike Vote

A United Mine Workers official said a settlement to the coal miners strike is likely, with conservatives in the majority and a vote on the presidential proposal possible after 9:30 the next morning.
