Records Break in Northern Field Says Akin

George L. Akin reports total coal production for the district reached 2,169,612.66 tons, up 360,691.80 tons from last year despite summer lull and car shortages. Fourteen mines operate well, with strong safety and first aid efforts at Cambria Fuel, Big Horn, and Owl Creek. Fatalities were few, at five, about one per 493,906.63 tons. Continued on Page Five.

Tourism plan outlined by Denver official in Cheyenne
