White Woman Chained by Negro Husband Found In Boston Home

A 23 year old white woman, nearly nude and chained to a wall, was discovered by police in 68 Middlesex street. J H Taylor, a black man, held her under restraint amid bruises and a claim she would run away. She said they married last September and she had been chained eight days, eating only once.

Mary Baker Eddy Funeral Held In Simple Solemnity

The founder of the Christian Science church Mary Baker Eddy was laid to rest in a quiet Boston ceremony attended by about 120 people. No eulogy was given and mourners sat eighteen minutes in calm reflection as roses adorned the coffin. A guard stood at the tomb and a telephone was installed in the vault for protection.

In Leadville Colorado on December 8 William Allen a 51 year old Black man was shot in the abdomen by David Morris a Black porter after Allen accused Morris of striking his companion with a poker. Morris fired in his defense and Allen is described as fatally wounded with the city health official reporting acute illness.

Wyoming and Colorado sheriffs crack gang of horse thieves

Two arrests were made in this county with prisoners jailed locally and two more taken at Greeley. Frank Carter and William Frazee, both known to Laramie and Albany counties, are linked to a theft near Laramie earlier this week when twenty two horses vanished from Jack Biddick’s ranch triggering cross county cooperation. Pet dog Bingo buried with ceremony in Bridgewater yard

In Bridgewater Massachusetts on December 8 Ellen Bell buried her pet dog Bingo in the back yard on South Street with funeral rites. The service included scripture reading prayer and a religious song as mourners grieved and a small tombstone was placed at the grave.
