U. S. Mail Stage Robbed and Driver Slain By Bandits

The U S mail stage from Rogerson Idaho to Jarbridge Nevada was robbed today and driver F Searcy was killed. Robbers seized between 8100 and 7000 dollars in cash and fled toward the Long Hike mine payroll destination. Nevada and Idaho trackers search the area for the outlaws.

Cheyenne Girls 14 Run Off To See World And Repent

Two 14 year old Cheyenne girls from South Side ran away after saying they would not return until they had seen the world. They spent Tuesday night at a farm east of Archer then were found near Pine Bluffs by Deputy Sheriff Nell Perry. They were tired, homesick, and promised not to run away again, returning to Cheyenne after a good supper and shelter.

State Guard May Return From Border

Captain 8. A. Smoke at Fort D. A. Russell believes Wyoming guardsmen may return to Cheyenne before Christmas after readiness for demobilization was ordered. No official homeward order exists, but war department guidance prompted preparations. Col. E. V. Smith took charge of the provisional Wyoming Infantry regiment on November 29.
