New York August 27 reports J D A Mc Curdy pupil of Glenn H Curtiss sent a wireless message from an aeroplane to an operator on the roof of the grandstand at Sheepshead Bay race track. The craft was 500 feet aloft and a mile distant from the stand. He attached a key to the steering wheel and antennae of the wireless sending apparatus hanging below the biplane frame.
