Lightning strike kills two Wyoming youths near Arminto

Casper Wyoming reports two boys killed by a lightning bolt at Arminto while tending cattle. One died instantly and the other died later. Ages given as about 13 and 9. Local officials, including Judge Tubtse, rushed toward the scene but travel complications halted them. Mrs McClelland, recovering from recent surgery, fears the shock will affect her health.

Hail Storm Destroys Land South of Wheatland

A severe cloudburst near Syville Creek southwest of Wheatland Wyoming on August 22 dropped hail three to four feet deep in many areas. Flooding and washouts closed roads as bridges collapsed and hay crops were wiped out. Henry Mudd and family survived a torrent sweeping their car downstream. Authorities reported widespread damage across seven to ten miles with no grain crops left.

Heaviest Rain Floods Cheyenne Causing Severe Damage
