Managua August 23 Jose Dolores Estrada who assumed the presidency when Madris fled issues a decree recognizing the provisional government with General Juan Estrada as president. The decree calls for free elections within six months and names a commission to draft and secure signatures on a permanent treaty of peace.

Motorman George Mozee attempted to reverse brakes but struck her, throwing passengers and ending the life before aid arrived. She lived with her father mother and brother at 234 West Fourteenth Avenue and was to celebrate her twelfth birthday tomorrow.
