Frontier Days Notable Wild West Circus Opens in Cheyenne

Immense crowds attended Cheyenne's opening day of the seventeenth Frontier Days with numerous events led by Col. William Cody. Winners included Hazel Hoxie in steer roping, Minnie Thompson in exhibition riding, and Gus Anderson in a wild horse race. Thousands traced a grand parade of stunts, roping, and freighted performances at the twenty thousand seat park.

Exhibition Run By Fire Laddies Tonight and Friday

The fire department will run an exhibition tonight at 8 30 starting at Twenty third Street and Capitol Avenue. They will move down Capitol Avenue to Union Pacific station, then west on Fifteenth Street to Eddy and Eddy to Eighteenth Street. They also join Friday's torchlight procession from the Industrial Club at 7 30.
