Wyoming Banks Report Deposits Rise in State Abstract

Wyoming state and private banks plus savings and loan firms report deposits totaling 25.3 million with assets over 31.5 million as of June 30, 191%, per state examiner GC Newlin. Largest bank by deposits is Commerce of Sheridan with 42 deposits and 4.885 million in assets, followed by North Side State Bank of Rock Springs and State Bank of Wheatland. Gin raid in Lenrock ends with seized liquor

A lam garage raid in Lenrock Wyoming leads to confiscation of a 10 gallon keg of gin and other contraband. Uncle Sam Plans To Build World’s Largest Steamship

Washington August 19 Special Two steamships capable of crossing the ocean from Montauk Point to Plymouth in four days are to be built for the U S merchant marine. Each vessel will displace 55 000 tons measure 4000 feet and reach 30 knots. Fuel oil tanks will hold fuel for a round trip.
