Wyoming Railroads See Valuation Rise Across Lands
The state board of equalization increased valuations on railroad lands in Wyoming with Oregon Short Line and Burlington lines rising to 18 000 a mile. Northwestern and Union Pacific saw little or no change. Overall land valuations along Union Pacific rose about 1.8 million dollars. The board met yesterday and cited fair measures amid updated road conditions. County assessors and chairmen met Governor Kendrick and Commissioner McGill earlier in the week to relay public wishes.

Ralph Roger Sutton, 10, was instantly killed when struck by lightning during a severe hailstorm while at a school three miles north of the Button ranch. Edwin Ridley was burned but expected to recover. the teacher Miss Amanda Keteleb and three other children were only shaken. A portion of the building collapsed and plaster fell as the storm passed. Funeral services were set for today at noon at the home, with interment at Lakerinw cemetery Ker.
