Leaslie A. Miller of the state land office conducted a sale of state lands in Sheridan yesterday. The sale was small, about 2500 acres were sold at a winning price of $15 per acre. Miller then proceeded to Buffalo for a later small sale.

Contest Begins For Girl By Her Grandmother

Six year old Margaret Mulholland of Cheyenne is the center of a custody dispute involving her aunt, grandmother, and her parents. The grandmother plans to send the child to Chicago, provoking intervention by state humane officer George Treantle who has placed the girl in care while the matter awaits court. The Mulhollands oppose losing Margaret and claim the grandmother’s intentions are unknown.
