Daylight Saving Vote Heads to President Again

The senate by 41 to 12 passed a bill repealing daylight saving and sent it to President Wilson. During debate, several senators predicted the president would veto the repeal, comparing it to the agricultural appropriation light repeal rider.

Special to the Leader reports meager details from Dubois and Lander Wyoming after a freshet swept a creek and Popo Agie, drowning Dr. F. A. Welty mayor of Dubois, Dan Long, Shaeffer, and two Appleby boys. Mrs Appleby saved the baby. The two other victims presumably drifted into the Wind River.

Lander Deputy Sheriff Wounded by Trusty in Wyoming

Deputy Homer Booth was shot in the arm by John Faberline, a county jail trusty who fled after being assigned to mow the courthouse lawn. The fugitive fled toward town, exchanged gunfire with a pursuing posse, and the manhunt continued as authorities pursued him for a reward and possible arrest.
