Washington April 26 The war department listed forty nine casualties including two killed in action six died of wounds seven with disease four by accident five severely wounded twenty four slightly wounded and one died from a gunshot wound all reported today by United Press from officials.
Cheyenne Light Fuel and Power announces daylight saving style changes to end dark nights from today until September 1. Lighting will operate on Thursdays and Sundays while other nights will see the electric grid illuminated.
Mrs. Emily Lugvei, 44, died at St. John's Hospital after a long illness. She is survived by husband John Lugvei and six children Marence Myrtle Frits Marie Agnes and John Jr. Funeral services will be held at Early's chapel at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. She resided at 519 West Twenty fourth Street.
Three masked youths attempted a hold up at Vernon Gabon saloon. Bartender William Griffin was killed when the safe was refused, police killed one robber and wounded another, a third fled in a car after fatally injuring the saloon proprietor.
Thomas J. Mooney, awaiting execution for participation in the 1916 San Francisco preparedness crisis, issued a statement from Cal ig county jail saying he would rather be hanged than have his sentence commuted to life imprisonment.
