J L Webster 63 wrote a farewell note and attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the Fourteenth street viaduct at 8 30 AM. A laborer and later a passerby restrained him and he slid back over the rail before leaping again. A crowd gathered as Webster, said to have lived in Beaver since August, was rescued and may be sent to the county hospital. A farewell note and residence details were found on him.
