Beewall Loses Fight to Probate Old Woman Estate
Clifford Sewall yesterday failed to have a document admitted to probate as the will of the late Mrs Ellen Boyle Conroy, with Judge W C Mentzer ruling the document not proven genuine or made under proper competency or free from undue influence. The decision denies Sewall and supporters, including Bishop McGovern, the estate valued around $8 000 and opens probate on an earlier will benefiting St Marys Cathedral. The contestants have ten days to seek a new hearing or appeal.
